Amanda is an anthropologist who lives in Alice Springs.
She has no affiliations with any political party, and has never been a member of or a volunteer for any political party.
Amanda has worked in cultural heritage protection and management for the past 17 years. She was formerly the director of research at the Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority (the NT sacred sites authority), and has also worked in native title and for the NT Parks and Wildlife Service. She holds a PhD in anthropology and currently works for the NT Aboriginal Interpreter Service (best job in the world!). She speaks Arrernte (an Aboriginal language) and Indonesian, has a partner, two children, two dogs and four chooks. She hates city life, hoons and feral apostrophes.
