Chris Topp is a Sydney-based journalist who took voluntary redundancy from News Ltd (now News Corp) a year ago to go travelling with friends. He is a former production editor for The Sunday Telegraph; had a variety of roles at The Australian, including that of graphics editor, for which he was nominated for a Walkley Award with graphic artist collegues Viki Sizgoric and Edi Sizgoric; and he was the founding production editor of News Ltd’s sub-hub, News Central NSW, which was disbanded after he left the company and about the time he was on the road to Mandalay.
