HELLO, I AM Claire Ferres Miles and I’m your next Federal Member for Casey.

I am standing here because I believe that the people of Casey deserve a voice.

In fact, a loud voice.

I have had a professional career in transport and sustainability with diverse experiences from running a small business, working internationally, and having spent more than a decade in the Victorian public service.

I am also a community activist, an organiser, a ‘doer’ with years spent around the School Council and committee meeting table.

Today, I have resigned as CEO of Sustainability Victoria, an organisation that I have proudly led for the last two and half years.

I am ready to start the work to tackle the disintegration of federal politics, the erosion of honour in the office, the relentless decline in trust in the institution of government

Are you tired of the negativity, the lack of accountability and integrity?

Are you angry about the glacial speed of change to have women in the places where decisions are made?

Are you frustrated by inaction on climate?

I am.

Being both optimistic and pragmatic I understand the complexities of navigating government policy, listening to differing views and groups.

Problem-solving is a skill that I have nurtured and refined as an advocate, a leader, a CEO – not to mention as a wife and mother of five.

I am not afraid of hard work, in fact I thrive on it.

I am here to get things done.

I am here to make government better.

I am here to listen and serve you.

It will take a village to turn this seat independent.

And so, I ask you…

To speak up, sign up, join up and we can do this together.
