People just don’t know where to place me: I am taking instructions from the Turnbull family; I’m a Labor hack; I’m a Greenie in disguise — does that make me brown or maybe I’m just in the middle?

The reason why [the independents] are collaborating on those issues wasn’t to be a party, but we’re representing what our local constituents are interested in, and that happens to be the same thing, and that isn’t being well served. That is what unites us, we were doing our jobs — representing and pushing this through, and to show that through collaboration we could be a strong force and a constructive force in parliament.
