The Courier Mail supported the Newman Government during the 2015 campaign. Several of their front pages were used by the Liberal National Party as signage. Since the election, editor Christopher Dore has left to take up the editorial position at The Daily Telegraph in Sydney. Lachlan Heywood took over but in September this year it was announced that he had left News Corp. The current editor is Sam Weir.
